Why Men?

As fathers, brothers, sons, and humans we have a duty to stop sexual violence in our communities.

Men are effective decision-makers and leaders.

Men have relationships with those who are impacted by violence.

Men are effective decision-makers and leaders.

Men don't have to get jobs in violence prevention or make life-long commitments, but our instrumentality and efficacy make us excellent additions to teams, workgroups, or community events. Click here to find upcoming events focused on prevention

Preventing violence against men protects men's well being and autonomy.

If you could choose whether or not someone would intervene in a situation where a person you deeply love is being harmed, the choice is obvious. Men can be the 'yes' to that question for someone else.

Male-on-male and female-on-male violence is underreported and underrecognized. Taking action to prevent violence directly reduces the number of men who must suffer in silence.

Violence prevention gives a unique opportunity to directly decide how to shape the world the next generation will grow up in. Showing your children, siblings, cousins and family members that you stand against violence will shape positive attitudes and ideas.
